Comfortable Cruising For the Catch of a Lifetime
The Rainisong is a luxurious 65-foot fishing boat based out of Seward, Alaska. As the primary vessel of the Seward Fishing Club, hundreds of anglers and tourists have enjoyed a day in Resurrection Bay fishing for halibut, salmon, rockfish and cod. Seward Fishing Club is a destination in Seward for world class saltwater fishing.
Luring in Anglers
After acquiring the Seward Fishing Club, the new owner realized he had a problem on his hands. He needed charters to fund the upkeep and maintenance of his new operation. The legacy website that came with the business was outdated, broken, and did not convert bookings the way he needed. He reached out to Divining Point to design a simple and easy to navigate website that could capture the imagination of tourists and showcase the beauty of the Rainisong.
Experiencing it for Ourselves
Divining Point started this engagement by witnessing firsthand the luxury of the fishing vessel. With cameras and drone in hand, we spent a day on the water capturing the activities of the Rainisong and the thrilling experience of being in Resurrection Bay. Our goal was to properly document not only the adventure of a day charter, but also the beauty of the boat itself.
Setting The Hook
With new photos, we were able to design a modern and minimal website with a clear funnel and enough information to produce demand for the various charters offered by Seward Fishing Club. Our approach was to allow the photos to tell the story and supplement this online experience with brief descriptions about the Rainisong and each of her adventures.
We created a website that is fun to use, easy to understand and capable of making a quick decision to convert. The color palette and animated features are pleasing to the eye and on brand for the legacy company. The photos give the viewer that “Catch On” feeling and allow them to imagine a day in the sun and salt air.
After launch, we supported Seward Fishing Club with a Facebook / Instagram ad campaign to jump start summer sales. The result was a volume of business that let the Seward Fishing Club set sail in a new direction towards success.
